Alabama AG urges law enforcement support

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall was one of 11 state attorneys general who sent a letter to congressional leaders on June 22 in support of America’s law enforcement personnel.

The letter called on Congress to temper “anti-police rhetoric that is jeopardizing the safety” of law enforcement officers, stating it is possible to both oppose racism and support law enforcement:

The letter asked leaders to “discourage disinformation” and help “restore the country’s faith in … law enforcement officers who perform their jobs honorably and bring stability to our cities and states.”

The letter disputed claims that law enforcement is systemically racist or structurally biased.
