In the final report of Judson College to the Alabama Baptist State Convention, Daphne Robinson shared that she and others charged with closing the campus are encouraged the school can avoid bankruptcy.
Harrell Cushing, chair of the Alabama Baptist Education Commission, urged Alabama Baptists to send their stories and memories of Judson and other Baptist colleges to the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission for posterity.
Beck Taylor, newly inaugurated president of Samford University, and Lonnie Burnett, president of University of Mobile, also provided updates on their campuses and how students and staff have fared during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Randy Johnson, chair of the Alabama Baptist Board of Aid to Students in Church-Related Vocations, provided an update on scholarship support for ministerial students.
Rick Lance, executive director of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, moderated the panel.
