Longtime music minister Emmett F. Robertson died May 13 in Robertsdale. He was 76 years old.
Robertson served as minister of music of Summerdale Baptist Church; First Baptist Church, Loxley; Calvary Baptist Church, Foley; and Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne, where he was a charter member.
Robertson also served at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery, as well as other churches in Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Robertson, a Gadsden native, attended Murray State Teachers College in Murray, Ky., and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, three daughters, two sons and 18 grandchildren.
