Danny Forshee, a native of Monroeville, was recently elected to the post of associate professor of evangelism for the newly established Roy Fish School of Evangelism and Missions at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Forshee, an evangelist from Keller, Texas, has preached all over the world and has spoken before gatherings of pastors, missionaries, business executives and military personnel through the Danny Forshee Evangelistic Association.
Forshee, 40, previously served as pastor of churches in Virginia and Texas, an assistant pastor of personal evangelism and a youth minister.
He also co-authored the mentor handbook for the NET evangelism training and taught evangelism at The Criswell College. Southwestern Seminary and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., before accepting the new professor position.
Forshee earned his bachelor’s degree from the Universiry of Mobile and a doctoral degree from Southwestern.
He and his wife, Ashley, have three children – Hannah, Bryant and Leighton.
