Alabamians elected at SBC

Alabama Baptists were elected to various boards and committees during the SBC annual meeting:

• Barbara Moore, layperson and member of FBC Pelham, to serve on the 2013 –14 Committee on Nominations.
• David Chambers, pastor of FBC Fairview, Cullman, to serve on the 2013–14 Committee on Nominations.
• Benjamin F. Kelley Jr., layperson and member of FBC Montgomery, to serve on the Executive Committee with term to expire in 2017.
• Danny Wood, pastor of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Vestavia Hills, to serve on the North American Mission Board with term to expire in 2014.
• Trudie Beth Guffin, layperson and member of Liberty Park Baptist Church, Vestavia Hills, to serve on LifeWay’s trustee board with term to expire in 2017.
• John C. Thweatt, pastor of FBC Pell City, nominated for second term on the board of Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky., with term to expire in 2018.
• Mark Hindman, layperson and member of FBC Prattville, to serve on the board of Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, with term to expire in 2015.
• Don Setser, layperson and member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church, Mobile, to serve a second term on the board of New Orleans Seminary with term to expire in 2018.
• Bill Morgan, director of missions for Autauga Baptist Association, to serve on the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission with term to expire in 2017.
