Alabama Citizens Action Program hosted a luncheon for pastors Nov. 15 in conjunction with the 2022 Alabama Baptist State Convention. The luncheon was held at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. About 60 pastors attended the event. Alabama Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth spoke on moral issues facing the state.
“It was a true privilege for us to have Lt. Gov. Ainsworth join us and very candidly address the moral issues that are so important to our churches,” said ALCAP president and CEO Greg Davis. “It’s nice to know we have a man of strong Christian faith, who also happens to be an Alabama Baptist, in such an influential role.
“We ask all Christians to pray for the lieutenant governor and all of those who serve us in government.”
Prayer breakfast returns
Davis recently announced that the ALCAP legislative prayer breakfast will return in March. The event was held annually prior to being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
