All Star United is a name that once clung to the periphery of Christian music’s quasi-underground rock scene.
Though sharing stages (or wooden palettes) with frontline troopers such as Plankeye and Starflyer 59, All Star United was generally considered radio rock; something it was apparently fine with. And for good reason — its sound worked and has worked for 10 years.
Since the band’s last release, front man Ian Eskelin has made a name for himself behind the scenes of records put out by his once teenage fans (Stellar Kart, Krystal Meyers, etc.).
His fifth All Star United effort, an 11-track, pop-rock grab bag, will appeal to longtime fans of the sometimes serious, sometimes silly contemporary Christian music virtuoso.
