WASHINGTON — Stan Hastey will retire June 30 from the Alliance of Baptists after 20 years at the group’s helm. Hastey was hired as the Alliance’s first full-time executive director in 1989 and became the minister for mission and ecumenism two years ago, through which he oversees the Alliance’s involvement in interfaith partnerships and monitors the Alliance’s public policy positions.
