Alumnae Weekend Held

More than 300 former Judson College students gathered at their alma mater for Alumnae Weekend, or “J-Day,” April 7-8.

The class of 1956, celebrating its 50th reunion, was honored at the Golden Club Banquet and inducted into the Golden Club.

Grace McCain Lee, class of 1957, won the Outstanding Alumna Award, and Dorothy Simmons Zorn, class of 1948, won the Alumna Loyalty Award.

Members of the class of 2006 attended the annual business meeting of the Judson College Alumnae Association April 8 and were inducted into the association. April Autrey Deal, class of 1974, of Birmingham was elected president of the alumnae association, and Anne Williamson Shumaker, class of 1966, of Centre was named president-elect.

Annie Mae King of the facilities staff won the Alumnae Association Past President’s Award for Staff Excellence.

Eleven students selected by their classes made up the J-Day Court, and senior Jodi Denham of Clanton was crowned J-Day Queen.
