Andalusia church experiences missions in New York

Bethany Baptist Church, Andalusia, helped Southside Baptist Church, Jamestown, N.Y., conduct backyard Bible clubs, prayer walking and door-to-door evangelism during an eight-day missions trip in July.

Sixteen adults and youth made the trip, where four people accepted Jesus Christ as Savior during the door-to-door evangelism. Ten people accepted Christ during backyard Bible clubs.

Michael Walters, minister of students and Neal Wallace, minister of music and education, led the group.

For many in the group it was their first missions trip.

The effort is part of a three-year partnership between Alabama’s Covington Baptist Association and Frontier Baptist Association in Jamestown. The week after the group returned to Alabama, a team from Frontier Association traveled to Andalusia to assist in Covington Association’s Christian Service Centers.
