Ann Hasseltine Missionary Society Re-established

Judson College in Marion has re-established the Ann Hasseltine Missionary Society. Ann Hasseltine, who married Adoniram Judson and set sail for the Far East in 1812, was the first American woman to serve as a foreign missionary.

The original society was first organized in 1840, just two years after Judson’s opening, and flourished for more than 75 years. The new society meets on the first Sunday of each month to provide learning opportunities for those interested in global missions. For information contact Laura Lee at 334-683-5122 or llee@judson.edu.
