After 48 years leading the Coffee County Baptist Association site of Samford University’s Ministry Training Institute, James Preachers is stepping into “permanent student” status and plans to continue learning while supporting the effort.

Commemorated the Sunday after Labor Day each year, this year Grandparents Day is Sept. 8. Many churches and families will make a special effort to recognize the blessing of grandparents on this day.
This summer, 106 college students from Alabama scattered to serve in 17 countries, 11 states and the District of Columbia through One Mission Students. As they shared the gospel, they saw 157 people profess new faith in Christ.
