Marion police have announced that they arrested 40-year-old Micah Hester at the scene of the fire at the former Judson College library on Feb. 23. Hester is charged with arson, burglary and making a terrorist threat.
Marion Fire and Rescue responded to a call about a fire at the former Judson College on Feb. 23. Upon arrival, they found heavy smoke coming from the basement of the former college library. With help, they were able to contain it.
Westside Baptist in Tuscumbia lost its steeple when an EF-1 tornado ripped through the city late Feb. 15. Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers were at work in that city and ready to help elsewhere, including Kentucky and Tennessee.
Dewayne Rembert said the fourth time he got the same phone call, he felt God convicting him and telling him this — “Stop telling them they’re not ready and help them get ready.”
