An Indian woman was recently murdered by relatives because she and her family had converted to Christianity. Indian authorities are handling the case as a land dispute rather than a crime that was committed because of the victim’s faith.
“This is an example of gross mishandling of Scripture,” said Mobile-area pastor Derek Allen. “We have to guard ourselves from letting our emotions take us to such places.”
Two Nigerian clergymen have been abducted, and recent video from their captors shows them pleading for their lives. Both men are being held for ransom because of their Christian faith.
