The trend of naming Christian bands numerically apparently knows no borders; Article One is from Canada, and it wears the “One” proudly enough to spell it out.

As for its sound, it is a rock band — but one that can ease itself into the ears of rock-haters thanks to the orchestral effect achieved by the violins prominent on this album.

Such instrumentation, especially in light of the group’s fashion and age, can’t help but draw comparisons to Yellowcard.

But this young threepiece — rather than poppunk — experimentation maintains a gentle, accessible quasi-country tone fans of John Mayer, Keith Urban and even Everclear will appreciate.
