Autauga Baptist Association mission strategist retires

Mel Johnson, who served as lead mission strategist of Autauga Baptist Association for almost 10 years, retired March 13. He previously served six years as a state missionary with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions in the office of global missions as Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief lead strategist. Johnson also served as pastor of First Baptist Church Geraldine and Ivalee Baptist Church, Attalla. He and his wife, Gwen, are members of FBC Prattville, where he serves as deacon chair.
