The Alabama Baptist Chrisitan Life Commission (CLC) has commended U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus (left) for his legislative work prohibiting illegal Internet gambling. During a June 29 luncheon in Birmingham, Dan Ireland (right), CLC member and director emeritus of Alabama Citizens Action Program, presented Bachus with a resolution. Thirty leaders from state Baptist life were in attendance.
“My concern has always been for our youth and families,” Bachus said. “The very real victims of illegal Internet gambling are our young people.” (TAB)
