Montclair Baptist Medical Center (BMC) has been awarded two prestigious Top 100 hospitals in America honors in the fields of cardiovascular services and orthopedics by the HCIA-Sachs Institute and The Health Network. Montclair BMC is the only hospital in Birmingham to earn multiple awards.
HCIA-Sachs developed the 100 Top Hospitals study in 1999 to identify the nation’s top hospitals offering specialty services and to set performance standards for management and clinical treatment. The study is part of an ongoing series of studies identifying superior care and management in high risk, high cost and high volume service lines.
To qualify, hospitals had to have performed well across eight performance measures that indicate high-quality outcomes and efficient management of care.
This national survey studies 6,000 hospitals across the country to identify health care industry leaders. (BHS)
