Children get it right. Their beliefs are unadulterated. They accept biblical truths at face value without putting them through the many intellectual filters adults do. Such was the case with Emma.
Riding down the highway with her dad, Emma began a conversation about age. She was thinking about her great-grandmother, whom they had recently visited.
“How old is she, Daddy?”
“She’s ninety-one.”

Emma pondered this for a few minutes, and commented, “Ninety-one is pretty old for someone who hasn’t died yet.”
Her dad laughed.
Undaunted by his amusement, Emma continued, “How old is your grandmother, Daddy?”
“She was seventy-two when she died,” he answered.
‘Child’s logic’
Exasperated with him, Emma persisted, “But how old is she now?”
It took him a minute to follow his child’s logic, but then realized she believed exactly what he had taught her — when Christians die, they just move to heaven and continue to live with Jesus.
“She is 108 now,” he humbly answered.
Do a faith check. Do you believe, as did Emma, that your loved ones continue living with Jesus after they die in this world?
The Bible teaches this truth. Emma believes it. Do you?
Perhaps this is why Isaiah 11:6 says, … a child will lead them. Matthew 10:15 expresses it even stronger — I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.
