Richard Donald (Don) Hatcher Sr. is the new director of missions for Barbour Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Bible from Gulf Coast Baptist Institute in Hattiesburg, Miss., a master’s of theology from International Bible Seminary in Plymouth, Fla., and a doctor of theology from Florida Seminary (now Emmaus Bible College) in Brandon, Fla. He previously served as pastor of Hepzibah Church, Troy, and part-time pastor of Mount Zion Church, Louisville. He also has served in numerous state convention roles including disaster relief chaplain and State Vacation Bible School Team. He and his wife, Patricia, have three children and five grandchildren.
