Beaver Creek Church, Phenix City, Pastor Emeritus Jack W. Kinley was elected as vice president and chairman of the board of directors for the National Church Conference of the Blind during its annual conference July 25–29 in Indianapolis. The National Church Conference of the Blind is a nondenominational Christian fellowship made up of blind, visually impaired and sighted persons with a membership of more than 300 representing 40 states. Kinley has served as a pastor in several Russell Association churches. He retired from Beaver Creek in 2009. He and his wife, Gwen (deceased), founded the Vision Tape Ministry in 1982. Barry Fleming is pastor.
