Beeson Appoints New Associate Dean

David Hogg has joined the faculty of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University as associate dean of academic affairs and associate professor of church history. Originally from Canada, Hogg holds degrees from the University of Toronto; Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, Pa.; and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He comes to Beeson from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., where he was also an associate pastor.

Hogg teaches church history and doctrine with a particular emphasis in medieval theology. He also travels annually to the Czech Republic to help train pastors and laymen at the Biblický Teologický Seminár.
