Bethany Church, Phenix City, new pastor’s assistant

Rick Thorne is the new pastor’s assistant at Bethany Church, Phenix City. He graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., and holds a degree in religion with a minor in Christian counseling. He previously served as pastor of Pleasant Grove Church, Roanoke. The church also has called Zach Walsh as student minister. In addition, Jeff Miller was ordained to the deacon ministry. Jimmie Hobbs is pastor.
