Two Randolph Baptist Association churches — Community LIFE Church, Roanoke, and Bethel East Baptist Church, Woodland — teamed up Sept. 24–27 to do missions work in Lynch, Ky.
Working through Four Corners Ministries in Wadley, the team of about 30 people distributed several hundred coats and about 600 pairs of shoes to people in the community.
Female team members volunteered at Loaves and Fishes Ministry, a food pantry in Lynch, stocking shelves and handing out food. They also volunteered with Sacks of Love, a program through Meridzo Center Ministries in Lynch that supplies backpacks with food for schoolchildren to take home on weekends.
The men also helped Meridzo, doing construction on a building that houses horse supplies. They also built a wheelchair ramp to the front of a family’s house.
“I don’t think God’s done with [our church] in Kentucky,” said Trey Reed, volunteer mission coordinator at Community LIFE.
