Bible protects boy shot at by his mother

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Bibles stop bullets.

A mother in Florida reportedly shot two of her sons on Sept. 2. Her 6-year-old was killed, but his 16-year-old brother suffered only minor injuries because his Bible absorbed most of the blast from his mother’s shotgun.

The mother, 39-year-old Leslie Ann Wallace, was later shot and wounded by sheriff’s deputies after she fired at them.

Wallace reportedly shot her youngest son as he watched television at home, then drove to New Wine Ministries Church and fired at her son as he stood outside the church building.

Most of the close-range blast was absorbed by his Bible. Sheriff’s Deputy Larry King said, “The Bible certainly saved his life.”
