Local fire and sheriff units participate in a community block party at Big Sandy Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, drawing hundreds from the area May 3. The event was hosted in order to engage the community and offer an opportunity for the church to reintroduce itself to the residents of Tuscaloosa and Moundville. The event was part of Big Sandy Baptist’s ‘Love Out Loud’ outreach ministry, which aims to share the love of Christ with the community. Bibles, tracts and other evangelistic materials were given to participants. Tuscaloosa Baptist Association lent the church its block party trailer. Terry Lolley is pastor.
