In honor of his 50 years in pastoral ministry, Billingsley Baptist Church recognized William Thomas Taylor during a special worship service Nov. 23, 2014.
During the celebration Mark Wakefield presented Taylor with a plaque on behalf of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and Bill Morgan, director of missions for Autauga Baptist Association, presented a plaque on behalf of Gov. Robert Bentley. JT Lloyd, chairman of deacons at Billingsley Baptist, purchased 50 Gideon Bibles in Taylor’s honor. Also in attendance were Travis Coleman, Bobby DuBois and Steve Whitehead, among others. The Lowery Quartet performed and a fellowship meal followed the service.
