Birmingham Metro WMU elects Crowder as new director

Shirley Crowder has been elected to serve as director of Birmingham Metro Baptist Association Woman’s Missionary Union for 2023–2024. She succeeds June Whitlow who served in the position for three years.

A conference leader and Bible study teacher, Crowder is a trained and commissioned biblical counselor specializing in addictions counseling. She is also an award-winning author and freelance Christian writer who has written for National WMU. She is a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Leeds, and serves on staff at Crestway Baptist Church, Birmingham.
