All Summer Long: A San Francisco Romance
Melody Carlson. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Revell, 2016. 320 pp. (Paperback).
I try not to review too many of Melody Carlson’s books, but they’re so good, it’s hard not to. I also try not to buy every book she writes, but this one had the Golden Gate Bridge on the cover — how could I resist? Besides, reading light, Christian romance is a good break from reading dissertation proposals.
If you need a break from something (or just want a fun read), let me recommend this book. It is the story of a young girl who gets a call from her aunt, who has a boat in San Francisco and an idea for turning the boat into a floating restaurant. I want to eat there! Tia accepts the challenge and ends up living on the boat in a marina while she oversees the conversion to a restaurant, and … well, I won’t give away the rest but doesn’t that sound like fun?
The story, like all of Carlson’s books, is well told and fun to read. And it has a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge on the cover.
