Prolific song writers Keith and Kristyn Getty have produced The Sing! Hymnal in collaboration with a team of musicians and Christian leaders.
The Gettys are probably best known for their song, “In Christ Alone,” and their Sing! Conferences. This new hymnal, published by Crossway, is an excellent resource for churches and individuals who love both classic hymns and newer Christian songs that have beauty and theological depth.

Nearly 500 songs are included, along with numerous Scripture passages and congregational readings. Most of the best-loved classic hymns are here, like “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art” and “And Can It Be,” as well as newer hymns and songs. Numerous songs produced by the Gettys and their frequent collaborators Stuart Townend, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa and Bob Kauflin also are in the collection. Also included are familiar songs by Chris Tomlin, Bill Gaither, Andre Crouch and many others. New classics like “He Will Hold Me Fast,” “Is He Worthy?” and “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death” are all here.
I have used this hymnal along with my Bible each day since I received it. It’s a treasure-trove of wonderful songs, and is available in several formats including digital.
The Sing! Hymnal may not replace The Baptist Hymnal for many Southern Baptist churches, but it is a truly exceptional supplement that would benefit both churches and families.
