Lisa Worthey Smith. Hartselle, AL: Lisa W. Smith, 2017. 111 pp. (Paperback).
“The Wisdom Tree,” like all trees, started out as a small seed. In this book Lisa Smith uses the story of the little seed’s journey to becoming a tree to tell another story. As the tree grows and matures the story grows and shifts focus. In simple parable form the story of a yielded life unfolds.
Some people have a gift for seeing deep, meaningful lessons in everyday life and Smith is one of those people. Her earlier book was similar in its approach — simple on the surface yet profound once unpacked and examined.
The book is formatted as a study, with questions for discussion at the end of each chapter. The questions are addressed through Bible passages at the end of the book.
Smith is an active member of East Highland Baptist Church, Hartselle, in Morgan Baptist Association.
