New Bethel Baptist Church, Braggs, is a small church in Lowndes County, averaging a normal Sunday attendance between 30 and 40 people.
Sunday, Feb. 15, the church held a Baby/Child Dedication Service.
The dedication service featured nine families and 14 children in the dedication. Total attendance was over eighty people. “A church is never too small to invest in children,” said Steve Stephens.
First Baptist Church Hoover will host the Alabama Singing Men in concert Feb. 19 at 1:30 p.m.
Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Holly Pond, will host a singing Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. featuring New Ground from Scottsboro.
Lafitte Baptist Church, Saraland, celebrated its 50th anniversary Jan. 24–25. Saturday’s event featured The Kendricks, a country gospel band.
Mary Virginia Crum recently retired as an administrative assistant with First Baptist Church Montgomery.
