Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church, Lacey’s Spring, celebrated 125 years of ministry Sept. 14 with about 175 friends and family.
A video presentation of members recalling memories from years past was shared during the morning service, the church’s quartet performed and Pastor Robbie Boyd shared from Hebrews 13:1–2, the church’s longtime motto. Tom Allen, Alabama Baptist Historical Commission representative, presented the Marshall Baptist Association church with a plaque and lunch followed in the fellowship hall.
Verlene Adams served on the anniversary committee to make the day a success, Boyd said.
When looking to the future, Boyd hopes to see the church continue to be “friendly and outgoing and embracing of guests.”
“We always say Brindlee Mountain is a friendly mountain and I want to be a church that embraces that.” (Neisha Fuson)
