Living in South Africa is very different from Mozambique or Lesotho. We have been home in Johannesburg for most of the last half of this year.
We have helped with corrections on a Portuguese version of the Bible Way book “Who Is Jesus?” for the Baptist Women in South Africa who use the Bible Way books in a ministry with prisoners. We are also working on a translation into Portuguese of a manual for Baptist churches for the Baptist Union.
We have also had several new couples to join our team of missionaries here in Johannesburg.
We are looking forward to being back in Alabama from early March until the end of August next year.
Please pray for a blessed time with (daughter) Paige and (her fiancé) Matt during their visit at Christmas, a swift and complete recovery from (eyelid) surgery for Jim, opportunities for ministry with the Portuguese-speaking people here and God’s guidance in our literature work and our daily lives.
