Brookwood Church, Birmingham, staff change

Shellyn Poole is the new interim minister of youth at Brookwood Church, Birmingham, coming from Deermeadows Church in Jacksonville, Fla., where she was minister to children and preschool. ZEdgewater Church in the western Birmingham area will host the Crusaders Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. David Johnson is pastor. ZRidgecrest Church, Center Point, will have a homecoming jubilee Sept. 21 starting with morning worship at 10:15. Potluck lunch and special program will follow. Brian Branum is pastor. ZShades Mountain Church, Vestavia Hills, offers an encouragement team to help persons in times of grief, crises, illnesses and other major life issues. This group will meet in the Christian Life Center Sept. 18, 6:30–7:30 p.m. Danny Wood is pastor.
