During a survey trip into the most overlooked part of Lomweland, Bob took along three eLomwe-speaking pastors.
We have traveled with national team members for years and have prayed that these trips to remote places will increase their vision to share Christ with their “country cousins.”
We are, after all, trying to work ourselves out of a job.
Everywhere Bob and these three pastors surveyed, the response was the same, “Nobody has ever stopped in our village to share the words of God with us.”
The three national pastors were overwhelmed by the lostness of one particular area, and they are now eager to see the gospel proclaimed there.
Please pray for Gr, A and Gu to continue to sense the urgency of Lomwe lostness.
Pray for us as we continue to study Portuguese as a springboard to learning eLomwe.
We also ask you to pray for AIDS sufferers and the missionaries and health care workers that minister to them. Approximately one-third of the people we come in contact with are HIV-positive.
Pray that we will be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading when sick people come our way.
In June, our whole family, along with volunteers, traveled back into Mozambique for prayer driving.
We have now prayed over most of Lomweland, an area the size of South Carolina.
One district in our people group is significantly less reached than any other part of Lomweland, and many in that area are now being targeted for proselytizing by a deliberate Islamic outreach.
Pray for us as we begin evangelizing along this battlefront.
Pray specifically for deeper Portuguese and eventually eLomwe language skills; deep into Mozambique, we cannot use the Chichewa language we are so comfortable with here in Malawi.
