Excited
Independent release

The colorful cover certainly gets your attention. Then you pop in the disk and the music kicks off with the title cut “I’m Excited.” There’s a lot of great talent represented on this project. From background vocals contributed by such names as Angie Primm, Katy Peach and Reggie Smith to songwriting by Rebecca Peck, Dottie Rambo and Jimmy McMillian. Great musicians like Jason Webb and Steve Brewster give even more reason to get “Excited.” This family trio made up of two brothers and one of their daughters has great family harmony.

“Tears Will Never Stain the Streets of that City” was probably the strongest vocal for young Heather. She shows some great potential vocally and certainly has a mature tone, and strong Southern influence is evident. “Shoutin’ Hallelujah Gone to Meetin’ Song,” written by Marcia Henry, was absolutely my favorite cut. Any lover of southern gospel will love this tune. In fact, I would recommend listening to this project if for no other reason than to enjoy this song.
