Canaan Church, Bessemer, will celebrate 195 years of ministry in Bessemer, McCalla, Hoover and Helena. Journey Groups and celebration worship will meet Sept. 1, 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The church will fellowship with a meal following the morning worship services. Morgan Bailey is pastor.
