Killings and kidnappings of Christians appear to have increased significantly in September in Nigeria, with 27 believers slain and more than 49 abducted.
Morning Star News reports that 17 Christians in Nigeria were recently killed and 35 were kidnapped in violence that often targets believers in the African nation.
A preacher teaching about Christ’s divinity was assaulted at an evangelistic event in Uganda, and so were the Christians trying to rescue him from the melee.

Missionary Kerra Jayne left Niger on an evacuation flight Aug. 1. She doesn’t know when she’ll return, and she asks fellow Christians to pray for believers in the country to “not live in fear” and leaders there to “do what is right.”
