The first Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers are on the ground in Huffman, Texas, and getting ready to help this weekend with cleanup in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.
Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief teams are preparing to leave Thursday morning (July 11) for Huffman, Texas, to help with cleanup from Hurricane Beryl, which made landfall in Texas early yesterday (July 8).
Pastor Daniel Waid said the day after his friend Mike Benefield died, a young girl from Haiti was baptized whom Benefield had been bringing to church through the bus ministry. It’s a testimony of the way Benefield lived his life, Waid said.
