Devco Baptist Church in Geneva experienced what some are describing as revival and renewal after the church’s pastor shared how God gave him a divine vision.
When John Roland began preaching occasionally at Beulah Baptist Church in Sterrett during the summer of 2023, he never imagined he would become its bivocational pastor. And Tracy Hanrahan didn’t know her path was leading her there too.
“We want to be a resource to others,” said Tim Mathis, senior pastor of FBC Selma. “Where we lacked experience, we now have a little experience. If we could help someone at square one, we’re happy to do that.”
“When the Lord brought us an offer from a growing church who desperately needed the space, we voted overwhelmingly to sell and relocate,” said pastor Steve Potts.
Gerald Burns said — as he always has — that if someone else were to take over, he would step aside and let them. But for now, “as long as I’m able, I don’t mind doing it,” he said.
