Alabaster’s Westwood Baptist Church and Westwood en Español congregations see themselves as partners in a mission to reach their community, something that was illustrated by their joint baptisms in the creek in Montevallo this year.
“As a Christian I’ve always been intrigued by the word “nature.” What exactly is nature? … Translation for us common folks: Nature is order. It is design,” writes Ken Lass. He later asks how people can deny the reality of a creator.
“Simply put, Christianity crumbles if Jesus Christ was not born of a virgin in Bethlehem,” writes pastor Ken Dooley. He shares three reasons why the virgin birth matters.
“We cannot truly experience Christmas until we bow before Jesus as God in human flesh. Fully appreciating His cradle requires our first acknowledging His crown,” writes pastor Adam Dooley.
