The apprehension of quadruple murder suspect Austin Drummond on Tuesday morning in Jackson, Tennessee, was one of those rare events that reminded all of us how fragile life and the freedoms we enjoy can be.
Several friends have shared with me lately how relieved they are to be free of the relentless commitments that dictated their schedules throughout their full-time careers and while raising their families.
“The older I get, the more joy I find in giving to the Lord. I am profoundly grateful God allows us to make a meaningful financial difference through our local church,” noted Rob Jackson, Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.
In Alabama, approximately 6,000 children are currently in the foster care system. Children enter this system for various reasons, including abuse, neglect, abandonment and socio-economic factors, among others.
