Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church celebrated its 175th anniversary Sept. 29. The church began as a log cabin church located near the center of Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Special presentations were made by Wendell Dutton, a commissioner of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission and associational missionary for Cherokee Baptist Association. Pastor Mark Cosby accepted the recognitions on behalf of the church. Minister of music Tim Burgess and the praise team led in worship. A special solo was sung by Chelsea Kearns.
