Centennial celebration

Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Vestavia Hills, celebrated 100 years Sept. 18. The Birmingham Baptist Association church celebrated the event all week long with historical information, photo albums, several antique items that were used in the early 1900s and more on display in the conference center. In addition to church members and their families, Hoover Belles (pictured here on left) admired the memorabila Sept. 15. Danny Wood is pastor.
