Central Park Church, Decatur, will hold a special memorial/recognition service to remember those who died on 9/11 and to honor the men and women of Morgan County who serve as first responders and emergency aid workers Sept. 11, 10:30 a.m. There will be testimonies by a man who was in one of the Twin Towers at the time it was struck and by a man who was near the Pentagon at the time it was struck. Several emergency-related organizations will be represented, and the church will present plaques. Lunch will be served. Tickets to the upcoming movie “Courageous” will be given.
