Greetings from beautiful Vail, Ariz.
Things are going well here in Vail. God continues to open doors for ministry and relationships. Shari, my wife, is making several friends through a group that meets four nights a week called Bootcamp. It is a group of ladies who meet to exercise together.
Shari is also making friends in her book club.
Jay Huffstutler and I continue to sub teach in the Vail School District.
The Sunday night Bible study continues to move steadily onward. We are preparing to embark on a life-on-life discipleship strategy. Jay and I will be discipling a couple of men in our group and training them to do the same.
We continue to minister to the Zebley family — the single dad with six special-needs boys. We have set up a laundry system for him. He has one washer and no dryer and washes around 30 loads per week. So we have set up a laundry ministry between three of the families in our Bible study to help him.
Denise Huffstutler, Jay’s wife, is our point person in our ministry to our adopted Iraqi family. Please pray for them, especially that they would find jobs.
We also continue to pray about the possibility of opening a preschool ministry here in Vail. Please pray with us about direction in that regard. We also continue to pray over a piece of land that we would like to have. We want God’s will, not ours, to be done.
We are also planning our second Vail Vision Tour April 1–3, 2009. Please pray for that.
