A Christian couple were removed from Sanjan Nagar Trust School in Lahore after claiming a cover-up in the alleged rape of their 8-year-old daughter on June 22.
School officials had also threatened the daughter with expulsion if she named the assailant, whom she said was a male teacher.
Shahzad Masih demanded answers after his crying daughter came home from school with blood on her uniform.
A medical exam confirmed the rape.
Nishtar Town Police refused to file a report until a sessions court ordered it, but officers took no action against school administrators.
13-year-old forced to marry
In another case, Lahore High Court upheld a ruling that 13-year-old Nayab Gill, a Christian, would remain in custody of the Muslim man accused of kidnapping, forcibly marrying and converting her to Islam.
The judge rejected documents showing the girl is underage, instead believing Nayab’s possibly coerced statements that she is 19 and chose to marry and convert.
Pakistan is No. 5 on Open Doors’ 2021 World Watch List of place most difficult to be a Christian.
