Three members of Christian Valley Baptist Church, Livingston, in Bigbee Baptist Association, traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, on a missions trip July 11–23.
Pastor Matthew Kelley, Dr. Archie Hooper and Rodney Henson went with R.A.M. ministries, of San Antonio, Texas, and joined seven others from across the United States.
While in Johannesburg, the team held a four-day medical clinic and Kelley preached to those in the waiting room. The medical team saw 645 patients and 214 made professions of faith. The group also spoke and preached at three local churches and gave away more than 100 Bibles and approximately 500 Daily Breads devotional guides.
“Their thirst and hunger for God’s Word and their receptiveness to the gospel (was special),” Kelley said. “It was amazing.”
