JOS, Nigeria — Two Christians died and another was seriously wounded in an attack by Muslim Fulani herdsmen on June 10.
The three men were on their way home from a church service at the Evangelical Church Winning All in Kwall. According to local sources, they were riding a motorcycle when they were ambushed and brutally attacked.
Attacks on Christian communities in the Bassa area intensified last year and have continued in spite of the presence of military personnel, sources said. Since February, 11 Christians have lost their lives in the area at the hands of Muslim Fulani herdsmen, including a 17-year-old high school student.
Nigeria ranked 14th on Open Doors’ 2018 World Watch List of countries where Christians suffer the most persecution. (MS)
